Black Gold Golf Club, an Arthur Hills championship designed golf course, is Orange County's newest premiere golf facility.   The Yorba Linda Parks and Recreation Department offers up an assortment of activities at its 19 local parks. Most parks offer the typical baseball fields and multipurpose open spaces. Equestrian trails, lighted tennis courts, beach volleyball courts, horseshoe pits and gymnasiums also are available.

Yorba Linda History

Yorba Linda was named after Jose Yorba dating back to 1769. He was part of a Spanish expedition exploring the area currently known as Orange County. Yorba petitioned the King of Spain for a land grant and he purchased 62,000 acres of land which became Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana.
